Our First Ever Revesco Aviation Open Day
what a day!
Still buzzing from Saturday’s Open Day. The hangar doors rolled wide open, the sun was shining, the aircraft were gleaming and more than 1,000 aviation lovers, future pilots, families and curious wanderers streamed through for a day none of us will forget.
FlyPerth pushed out a whopping 18 scenic flights, carrying 69 very happy passengers across Perth’s skyline using two aircraft to keep up with demand. Our Flight Simulators ran hot too with 36 sessions booked, plenty of laughs and fantastic feedback throughout the day. Visitors came with excellent questions, although one rose above them all… How do I become a pilot? Music to our ears.
Sausages sizzled, soft drinks popped, planes were folded for the RFDS and the donation bucket got a solid workout. Together, we raised just over $2,500 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service, which is nothing short of brilliant.
The RFDS guest speaker session was another standout moment. The briefing room was filled to capacity with people lining up outside hoping to squeeze in. A powerful reminder of how strongly the community connects with the RFDS mission.
The Revesco Aviation RFDS Raffle [Lic: A980166907] brought loads of excitement with 89 tickets sold and three very lucky winners walking away with some incredible prizes.
FIRST – Suhardi Tjandra won a Scenic Flight and Lunch for Two in the Margaret River Region valued at $2500
SECOND – Tony Masters took home a Trial Introductory Flight valued at $375
THIRD – Rico Privado scored a Flight Simulator Experience valued at $275

Massive thanks to Corsaire Aviation for bringing two helicopters for static display and to every aviation partner who showcased their aircraft. Big shoutout to Jasper from @jd.photographx for capturing some brilliant images across the day. Social media shares rolled in and plenty of visitors said they came because they saw us online, which is exactly the kind of brand lift we hoped for.
The Revesco team summed it up beautifully with heartfelt thanks for the meticulous planning, detailed marketing and energy behind the event. They felt their brand awareness skyrocketed with new business opportunities pouring in and the whole day exceeding every expectation.
To everyone who joined us, cooked, cleaned, helped behind the scenes, redirected traffic, folded planes, flew aircraft, cheered, brought their friends, learned and helped make our first Open Day a roaring success — the biggest thanks from the whole Revesco Aviation crew.
