The countdown is on for the Revesco Aviation Open Day as we open the hangar doors this Saturday for a full day of flying fun, discovery and Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) support. Families, aviation students, pilots and curious visitors are invited to walk through the hangar, explore real aircraft, meet our instructors, try a flight simulator and even take a scenic flight over Perth.
This free aviation event runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday 29 November 2025 at 1 Eagle Drive Jandakot Airport with dedicated event parking available on site.
Be inspired
Guest speakers will cover aviation career pathways for beginners through to pilots ready to advance into higher qualifications through our 4-Day MCC Course, ATPL Training or META Training with Revesco Aviation Advanced Flight Training.
Get up close
You can walk right up to an impressive line-up of aircraft including the Air Tractor Fire Bomber, King Air B200, B1900, Diamond DA42, Corsaire Helicopter and RFDS aircraft. Crew and instructors will be on hand to answer questions and share what it is like to work or train in the aviation industry.
Flights and simulators
The Open Day features four flight simulators ideal for future pilots, aviation students and aviation fans looking for hands-on flying experience:
- B777-200 simulator
- Beechcraft King Air B200 simulator
- Diamond DA42 simulator
- Elite AT-11 for instrument-only training
Book a 15 minute Flight Simulator Session for $15 with a Revesco Aviation instructor guiding you through the experience. Visitors ready for real flying can take it further and book a 15 minute Trial Introductory Flight for $215 with a qualified Revesco Aviation instructor.

FlyPerth Scenic Flights will run throughout the day for $60 per person. Each flight lasts 15 minutes and may include views across Fremantle, the coastline, Cockburn or the CBD fringe depending on air traffic control clearance.
paper plane challenge
The RFDS Paper Plane Challenge brings friendly competition to the Open Day and helps raise funds for their lifesaving emergency services across Western Australia. Pilots receive one A4 sheet per entry and must fold their aircraft with no cutting, gluing, stapling or add-ons. Enter as many times as you like for $10 per flight and the furthest throw wins. Download the RFDS paper plane template or design your own that follows the folding-only rule.
RFDS raffle
Three major raffle prizes are up for grabs:
- FIRST — Scenic Flight and Lunch for Two in the Margaret River Region valued at $2500
- SECOND — Trial Introductory Flight valued at $375
- THIRD — Flight Sim Session valued at $275
Raffle ticket donations help support the RFDS.
RFDS sausage sizzle
Our BBQ Sausage Sizzle will run all day with $3.50 hot dogs and $2.50 soft drinks available for purchase. Proceeds from the sausage sizzle go towards supporting the RFDS.
coffee and food vans
Enjoy San Churro coffee and warm churros with hot chocolate. Savour Potato Corner fries, popcorn chicken, waffles and the much loved local ice cream van. Perfect for a warm spring day spent exploring the Revesco Aviation Advanced Flight Training hangar.

Dedicated event parking is available on site with clear signage in place to guide visitors on arrival.
