Every pilot starts here. This licence allows you to fly a light, single-engine aircraft without supervision during the day as the pilot in command.

Course Outcome

The Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) introduces you to the basic building blocks of becoming a pilot. Every pilot starts here, where you are now. Revesco Aviation Advanced Flight Training instructors love what we do and nothing excites us more than welcoming new students who share our passion for flying. During this course, you’ll learn the basics of controlling an aircraft, aerodynamics, fundamental manoeuvres, radio communication, emergency procedures, basic instrument flying and operations at busy controlled airports like Jandakot and in uncontrolled airspace. By the end of the course, you’ll be a confident and capable RPL holder, ready to take friends and family on scenic flights. Imagine flying your loved ones to Rottnest Island for the day or taking in the stunning views of Perth from above—it all starts here.

Revesco Aviation Advanced Flight Training offers flexible courses designed to fit your schedule. We tailor your training around your availability and commitments, ensuring a personalised experience. You can choose to train every day if it suits you, study in the afternoons and—weather permitting—achieve your Recreational Pilot Licence (RPL) in as little as four to six weeks. How often you train is entirely up to you.

The Private Pilot Licence (PPL) allows you to carry more passengers, fly larger and faster aircraft and travel to a wider range of destinations. Additionally, you can bypass the RPL flight test and written exam once you meet the required competencies and begin training for your PPL. During this stage of your training, Revesco Aviation Advanced Flight Training instructors will teach you navigation skills, enabling you to fly anywhere in the country and even overseas. PPL training includes a written exam. While most students study independently, our supportive instructors can always offer guidance and answer any questions. A Private Pilot Licence offers the independence you’ve always dreamed of, allowing you to navigate an aircraft anywhere in Australia for business or leisure. A completed PPL also serves as a prerequisite for starting your night flying licence (NVFR).

A Night Visual Flight Rules (NVFR) rating enhances your flying licence by allowing you to operate an aircraft at night under visual flight rules (VFR) in favourable weather conditions. The NVFR course covers essential techniques, including various approach and landing types and handling emergency situations at night. You’ll also gain basic night instrument flight proficiency using ground-based navigation aids. With guidance from our experienced real-world instructors, you’ll develop confidence and competence in night flying, making it a valuable addition to your aviation capabilities and career prospects.

Revesco Aviation Advanced Flight Training offers flexible courses designed to fit your schedule. We tailor your training around your availability and commitments, ensuring a personalised experience.

You can train daily if it suits your schedule. Weather plays a crucial role in this course, as clouds are not visible at night. However, with clear weather, you can achieve your NVFR rating in as little as two weeks.

FI

Instructor Rating

Pilots who want to train others must hold an Instructor Rating (FI). Intriguingly, there are two pathways: one remains grounded, while the other takes to the sky.

Course Outcome

An Instructor Rating (FI) offers two pathways: Flight Instructor and Simulator Instructor. At Revesco Aviation Advanced Flight Training, sharing knowledge, providing guidance and offering ongoing support is second nature. All our instructors are active Commercial Charter Pilots at our Perth Airport Jet Base, a rarity at any Flight School. As a working Flight Instructor, you’ll face many challenges, diverse personalities and questions – we’re here to prepare you for them. You’ll also develop your flying accuracy, efficiency, time management, teaching methods, theory and personal growth. Throughout the course, you’ll work with a training partner who will also act as a ‘student,’ giving you the chance to practice before teaching your first Real Student to fly.

Course Options: full-time or part-time

Revesco Aviation Advanced Flight Training offers flexible courses designed to fit your schedule. We tailor your training around your availability and commitments, ensuring a personalised experience. You can choose to train every day if you choose; however, keep in mind weather plays an important role in this course.
